One of the best things about Second Life is the rich and thought provoking RP. DFS has created the Future Modern line of appliances in order for you to have that same rich RP with your farm. Sometimes we like things to be the same as in real life. But sometimes it’s really fun to have a farm in a space station. The following items can be purchased in the store for your RP farm.
DFS Beehive – Future Modern
The DFS Beehive is used to produce DFS Honey Jars and DFS Wax. The Beehives will give you the following options: CARE, SETTINGS, and eventually HARVEST.
To use:
Rezz out your beehives, click and select CARE, which will give you a “sit” icon at your mouse. Sit and click CARE on DFS HUD or MrClicky to add care (10/10). While the beehive needs ten (10) clicks of care, each lasts 12 hours. It takes five(5) days to Harvest the Beehive, and the harvest will provide a DFS Honey Comb. The DFS Honey Comb has four (4) uses and is used to make a DFS Honey Jar and DFS Wax.
DFS Butcher Table – Future Modern
The DFS Butcher Block used to chop and prepare meat. The Butcher Block is the modern version of the DFS Butcher Table. Therefore, any recipe that calls for a DFS Butcher Table, you can use the DFS Butcher Block in its place. The DFS Butcher Block requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Butter Churn – Future Modern
The DFS Butter Churn is used to make DFS Butter. The DFS Butter Churn requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Candle Station – Future Modern
The DFS Candle Station is used to make candles and melties. The DFS Candle Station requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Carpentry Desk – Future Modern
The DFS Carpentry Desk is used to make wooden crafts. The DFS Carpentry Desk Requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Cauldron – Future Modern
The DFS Cauldron is used to make Dyes, Yarn, and some Holiday craftables. The DFS Cauldron requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Cheese Press – Future Modern
The DFS Cheese Press is used to make cheese. The DFS Cheese Press requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Coffee Maker – Future Modern
The DFS Coffee Maker is used to produce hot drinks. The DFS Coffee Maker requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Compost Bin – Future Modern
The DFS Compost Bin is used to store waste from DFS Animals until it is ready to use on the fields.
DFS Drying Rack – Future Modern
The DFS Drying Rack is used to dehydrate items like herbs and meat. The DFS Drying Rack requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Feed Mill – Future Modern
The DFS Feed Mill is used to make food for DFS Animals. The DFS Feed Mill requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Fermenter – Future Modern
DFS Fermenter produces DFS Beer Kegs and DFS Wine Barrels. The DFS Fermenter requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Dirt Field – Future Modern
The dirt field is used for all seeds that are dedicated for dirt fields. The dirt field is not used for plants or trees, plants such as pineapple, hop, grapevines, and strawberries. The growth cycle is determine by the seeds planted in the dirt field. Please note, the DFS HUD must be worn to care for dirt field and you need to have EP in your HUD.
Make sure to place it within 10 meters of a water source, such as a tower or water barrel. It is important to note, the dirt field loses 2% water every hour and looses 1.75% care every hour.
The dirt field provides the option for performing the following tasks: fertilize, plant, water, tending, security and exit.
Basic instruction for dirt field are as follows:
To work with the dirt field you need to be within 5 meters of it
Click the dirt field, select a task to perform (fertilize, water, security, exit)
To Fertilize the dirt field click the field and select Fertilize and make sure fertilizer from the male animal is within range of the dirt field (until after harvest this option will no longer be available)
To Plant in the dirt field click the field and select Plant and make sure seeds are within range of the dirt field (until after harvest this option will no longer be available)
To Water the dirt field click the field and select Water and make sure water is within range of the dirt field
To Tend the dirt field click the field and select Tending,
To Harvest the dirt field click the field and select Harvest
Then sit on the dirt field, until the system kicks your off
The product will come directly to her inventory.
However, depending on your setting you may need to accept the product
The Security option
Providing additional options, such as
Text On, Text Off, Open, Group, Private and Exit
The Exit option closes the menu for the dirt field
DFS Water Field – Future Modern
The Water Field is used for all seeds that are dedicated for water fields. The water field is not used for plants or trees. The growth cycle is determine by the seeds planted in the water field. Please note, the DFS HUD must be worn to care for water field and you need to have EP in your HUD.

The DFS Grinder is used to prepare the Cannabis harvests for Cooking The DFS Grinder requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Juicer – Future Modern
The DFS Juicer is used to produce juice. The DFS Juicer requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Leatherworking Station – Future Modern
The DFS Leatherworking Station is used to make crafts from animal hides. The DFS Leatherworking Station requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Loom – Future Modern
The DFS Loom is used to produce DFS Fabric Bolts. The DFS Loom requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Mortar and Pestle – Future Modern
The DFS Mortar and Pestle is use to ground a number of DFS ingredients from the raw produce, such as sugar, mustard, coffee, cinnamon, wheat, and cocoa. It is one of the most used kitchen tools.
DFS Oven – Future Modern
The DFS Oven is used to produce baked recipes. The DFS Oven requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Prep Table – Future Modern
The DFS Prep Table is used to prepare the food. The DFS Prep Table requires DFS HUD and ingredients
DFS Sawmill – Future Modern
The DFS Sawmill is used to make wood from logs. The DFS Sawmill requires DFS HUD and ingredients
DFS Sewing Machine – Future Modern
The DFS Sewing Machine is used to make crafts from fabric. The DFS Sewing Machine requires DFS HUD and ingredients
DFS Soap Station – Future Modern

DFS Spinning Wheel – Future Modern

The DFS Still is used to make liquor and alcohol recipes. The DFS Still requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Stove – Future Modern
The DFS Stove is used to produce all grilled, fried and cooked recipes. The DFS Stove requires DFS HUD and ingredients.
DFS Trash Can – Future Modern
When you put the wrong item in a slot on your DFS HUD, you can use the DFS Trashcan to remove the item. When you make a mistake, The DFS Trashcan save you from losing all of the items in the DFS Hud
DFS Water Well – Future Modern
The DFS Water Well is used to supply Water Buckets for Cooking and Water Barrels for farming and for Animals. The DFS Water Well requires DFS HUD.
DFS Water Trough – Future Modern
The DFS Water Trough is used to provide water to the DFS all of the DFS Animals. Therefore, they must be place near the animals for easy access. The animals will use trough automatically throughout the day. In addition, they will need to be refilled, which you can do in three way. If the water tower or water wind pump is in water range of the trough it will keep it filled. You may also place barrels of water near the trough for absorption. The trough will hold 400 waters, which is 400 water barrels. Water source needs to be within 10 meters of the trough
DFS Windpump – Future Modern
1) Durability: 10080 = 7 Days of running time before it breaks
2) Water Level: 100 – Holds a maximum of 100 water units* at a time, same as a barrel.
3) The windpump will break and stop working after Durability reaches 0
4) Windpumps can be repaired with the repair kit. However, the kit MUST be used before the Windpump reaches 0.
5) Windpumps work on the same rules as the barrels and can be used around your farm, except it generates water slowly. (Up to 120 water units per hour)
6) Best place for the windpump is near a water tower.
7) Durability will still go down even when the tower is full
8) Durability stops when its in your inventory it works on the same rules as secondlife timers
8) Generates 200 barrels of water per week
9) Max durability goes down by 1 each time it is repaired
** 100 Water Units is the same as 1 Water Barrel
